Seared Music: Motorhead - "Born To Raise Hell"

...a good song to end the workweek with, huh? Just ask him:
....I rest my case.

Gay Activist Wing Of The Deluded Left, Meet Hypocritical Kettle...

There's numerous reasons why I left that den of hateful iniquity known as the Progressive Deluded is that, as an individual, I like to think for myself, I like to speak my own mind and I don't take kindly to PC bullshit, for starters. Unfortunately, the Deluded Left are becoming more-and-more like ST: TNG's The Borg in their unceasing efforts to make everyone come around to their point-of-view; to borrow Erick Erickson's quote, "You will be made to care."...

...which brings us to this week's example. Earlier this week, a pair of Manhattan hoteliers - both of whom are gay - held a function for Sen. Ted Cruz at one of their hotels; the purpose of the function - besides raising money for Cruz - was to discuss U.S. foreign policy. Tell that to the Deluded Left, in particular, the Gay Activist Wing of the Deluded Left:
It is with regret that we have decided to cancel this year’s edition of the Broadway Bares Solo Strips fundraiser, which was scheduled for May 10 at the NYC club 42West. We cannot in good conscience hold an event at a venue whose owners have alienated our community. (Twitchy via. Gay Patriot)
Now, given all of the things that should concern those of us w/in the gay community, you would think that worrying about whether someone met with Ted Cruz would be rather low on that list....wrong: some w/in the Deluded Left's GAW now want to boycott the hoteliers to daring to stray from the Gay Activist Groupthink.

If I were one of these two hoteliers, I would probably tell the GAW boneheads to politely blow their concerns out of their ass; if they think Ted Cruz is an evil motherfucker, what do they - and the rest of us w/in the LGBT community - think of what would happen if these motherfuckers - otherwise known as ISIS - ever got in charge of things 'round here:
Depraved militants fighting for the Islamic State in Syria have brutally stoned two gay men to death only seconds after they were photographed embracing and ‘forgiving’ them.
Huge, bloodthirsty crowds are seen in the desert clearing where the group of executioners made a display of hugging the blindfolded couple and telling them they were forgiven of their ‘sins’, before pummeling them to death with hundreds of fist-sized rocks. (Gay Patriot)
...yet its' the hoteliers' who are catching scorn from the Deluded Left's GAW? Give me a fucking break, boneheads!

Democrat Logic At Work...

Public affairs go on pretty much as usual: perpetual chicanery and rather more personal abuse than there used to be... Our American Chivalry is the worst in the world. It has no Laws, no bounds, no definitions; it seems to be all a Caprice. - John Adams, letter to Thomas Jefferson — 1826

Seared Music: Argent - "Liar"

....this song all-but-describes the relationship between grass-roots conservatives and the GOP establishment with the grassroots screaming "Liar!" at the establishment...and given the establishment's penchant for betraying the grassroots at every opportunity, a well-earned scream at that.

Loretta Lynch Confirmed As AG

....why even bother having control of the Senate if you're going to confirm people like Eric Holder or his replacement, Loretta Lynch Mrs. Eric Holder...why?
Mitch McConnell could have reinstated the filibuster to stop her. He didn't. Mitch McConnell could have refused to bring her nomination to the floor. He didn't. So, what did Mitch McConnell do? He voted for her confirmation. (Ace of Spades)
...and he wasn't the only Republican Judas either...
GOP "yes" votes: Ayotte, Cochran, Collins, Flake, Graham, Hatch, Johnson, Kirk, McConnell, and Portman. (Dan Holler, 23 April 2015)
...and just what kind of Attorney General will Loretta Lynch be? Something like this:

Seared Music: Alicia Bridges - "I Love The Nightlife"

....being from the Tarheel State, anytime I can give props to a fellow Tarheel is a good time indeed...

Border Patrol Chief: "We No Longer Enforce The Laws, Only Obama's Immigration Edicts"

Why even bother having laws and a representative democracy when people can simply enforce Presidential Imperial Edicts instead?
(Iowa Congressman) Young asked Saldana if Obama’s comments concerned her in any way, given the implication that Obama was asking ICE to enforce his own directive, and not US law.
“I’m trying to be honest with you, sir,” Saldana replied. “No.”
Saldana then had the nerve to compare Obama’s directive to ignore/violate the immigration law to a normal directive any company or congressman might give an employee or staff person. (Freedom Outpost via. Gay Patriot)
So ICE would rather allow unskilled, third-world immigrants invaders to come right over the southern border and push out Americans? Haven't we seen this movie before...oh, wait; never mind.

Our Lost Constitution: The Willful Subversion Of America's Founding Document

...quoting: In Our Lost Constitution, Senator Mike Lee tells the dramatic, little-known stories behind six of the Constitution’s most indispensable provisions. He shows their rise. He shows their fall. And he makes vividly clear how nearly every abuse of federal power today is rooted in neglect of this Lost Constitution. Examined are the Origination Clause, the Legislative Powers Clause, the Establishment Clause, the Balance of Powers and the Second and Fourth Amendments. Each has been used at some time in our Nation’s history by shortsighted opportunists to defy the Constitution’s safeguards to liberty. Sections of the Constitution may have been forgotten, but it’s not too late to bring them back – if only we remember why we once demanded them and how we later lost them. Drawing on his experience working in all three branches of government, Senator Lee makes the case for resurrecting the Lost Constitution to restore and defend our fundamental liberties.(Heritage Foundation) know, we really do need more Mike Lee's in Washington, don't'cha think?

Seared Music: Rush - "Roll The Bones"

...still good after all these years...

Tim Tebow Gets NFL Contract...Michael Sam, Not So Much

Only in the screwed-up, see-no-evil & hear-no-evil world of the National Football League can a no-talent hack such as Tim Tebow get a contract and a former SEC Defensive Player of the Year such as Michael Sam not get a contract...
Tim Tebow has signed a contract with the Philadelphia Eagles to be their in-game announcer captain their cheerleading squad play quarterback for them. And the question we've already seen flash across social media is: How in hell can Michael Sam not get a contract? (Outsports)
Yeah, I'm scratching my head as well; other than one playoff win - and a flukish one at that - what the hell did that hack do to garner another shot in the NFL? Quoting:
To recap, Tebow has been a terrible NFL quarterback. The year the Denver Broncos went to the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs despite Tebow's play, he was the 42-rated quarterback in the League. The Oakland Raiders had two passers rated higher than Tebow that season. His career completion percentage is 47.9%. In his 18 career starts his team put up 24 or more points as many times as they were held to 14 or fewer points (five times). Tebow has had the opportunity to shine over in the NFL regular season for two teams - the Broncos and New York Jets - and another, the New England Patriots, in the preseason. Despite having a winning record thanks to a stout defense, he has not done well as a player. Yet the Philadelphia Eagles are giving Tebow yet still another chance in the NFL and Michael Sam cannot get a futures contract.(Outsports)
This once again begs the question: did Michael Sam get frozen out of the NFL last year? Let me think...yes.

Domestic Terror Still A Threat 20 Years After Oklahoma City

Looking at the calendar, it occurred to me for a moment that today was the 20th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing, an act of perfidic terror which remains to this day the worst act of domestic terror in American history. I still remember the day it happened; I was a second-year student down at UNC-Charlotte, getting ready for final exams...suffice it to say, none of us in Hawthorn Hall stayed away from televisions and radios that day in 1995.

What was especially galling to me, as an American, was that someone would commit such an act of unbridled terror against their fellow Americans...I mean, we all, at some point, disagree w/other Americans and/or with government about this and that, but I was raised to believe that Americans dealt with such things through the democratic process, through the avenues accorded by the Constitution and the laws of the United States and so, it was shocking to thing that another American would raise their hand in violence against another. What made it even more shocking was that most of the victims weren't law enforcement or members of the military; they were civilians, children, infants...innocent people whose only crime was to be at the Murrah Federal Building on April 19, 1995.

As time has passed, America's focus when it comes to terrorism is foreign terrorism, which, to be some, is where our focus should be: after all, it was foreign terrorists - radical Islamists, to be specific - who committed the 9/11 attacks, so to focus on them is a right and proper thing for the U.S. to do....but it should not - nay, never - come at the expense of worrying about domestic terror threats. Let us hope America doesn't become too focused on external threats that we ignore the domestic threats to America.
