...gee, Speaker John
Boehner of Orange, tell us how ya' really feel about Ted Cruz, huh?
....long story short: former Speaker of the House John Boehner spoke to an audience out at Stanford University and referred to Texas Senator Ted Cruz as "Lucifer in the flesh", adding that he'd never worked with "a more miserable son of a bitch" in all his life...
....I'm of two minds here...on the one hand, we now have a handy measuring stick for telling what side of the conservative ledger you fall on (i.e. if John Boehner insults you, that means you're a conservative). OTOH, as someone wrote over on the Twitter, it would not be surprising if Satan himself came back to earth and sued John Boehner for "defamation of character".
Now, I don't know about y'all out there on the internets, but something's got to be really wrong in one's head when even the Devil himself might be tempted to object to John Boehner comparing Ted Cruz to the enemy of God & Jesus Christ...

Gee, thanks, safe spacers for continuing to ruin political discourse and good comedy on American campuses once again...
That last line there should say it all about how bad the PC "I'm offended!" fascist culture has become on college campuses; if you cannot handle anything that causes you to think or react to something without getting offended over it, maybe college isn't the place for you...John Cleese said he will no longer perform or give talks at university campuses because political correctness has taken over. The Monty Python star revealed that he has been advised not to perform to students as the fear of offending has expanded so far that any kind of criticism is now seen as "cruel".Mr Cleese said it is down to people who cannot control their emotions, so seek to control others, and worries that it could lead to a society like that in the iconic dystopian Orwell Novel.Although he is best known for his work as Basil Fawlty, Mr Cleese also has a strong business pedigree and as the co-founder of Video Arts, a business training programme, has over the years provided talks on the subjects of business and psychology to students, using his technique of making people laugh. In a video for The Big Think, he explained: “I’ve been warned recently not to go to university campuses because political correctness has been taken from being a good idea, from ‘let us not be mean particularly to people who are not able to look after themselves very well’, to the point where any kind of criticism of any kind of individual or group can be labelled cruel. “The whole point about comedy is that all comedy is critical.” (Daily Telegraph)

...the difference between Nelson Mandela and Hillary Clinton? Mandela didn't try to divide South Africa the way Hillary Clinton would if she were to follow in
President Obama's King Barack I's footsteps....

*deadpans* ...as much as I've slagged on Russia - and Vladimir Putin, come to think of it - I can't help but laugh and agree with the sentiment above...
